Christmas has come early for the design enthusiasts: the Pinterest Predicts 2026 report is officially here – and it’s brimming with fresh design inspiration to fuel your next bedroom makeover.

Every December, Pinterest drops its crystal ball trends forecast of the year ahead, powered by its unique search data and packed with everything from fashion obsessions to foodie cravings and everything in between. What are we most interested in, you ask? Their interior trends, of course! And this year’s predictions are bigger, bolder, and full of more joyful optimism than ever before.

To save you scrolling, we’ve pulled out the most noteworthy bedroom design trends set to take the design world by storm in 2026. Plus, we’ve included plenty of styling tips on how to recreate each look at home.

Ready to explore the best bedroom design trends that are set to make a big splash in 2026? Spoiler alert: Maximalism is set to have a major moment…

2026 bedroom colour trends

1. Cool blue

Have we got next year’s answer to 2025’s butter yellow? According to Pinterest, yes. Icy, cool blue tones are set to be everywhere in 2026: bridesmaid dresses, handbags, and bedroom walls. Think glacier-inspired hues and frosty accessories, this new blue may just be the fresh change our interiors need.

Styling tips: To get the look, paint your walls in this beautiful light blue shade, as we’ve done with our Marcello bed frame above. Use white furniture to contrast the icy tone, keeping things crisp, fresh, and clean. Consider accessorising with shiny silver pieces, like metal lamps and mirrors, for a frosted finish.

2. Khaki coded

Inspired by adventure, this next trend is all about wanderlust. In terms of fashion, the ‘khaki coded’ aesthetic means an abundance of utility shirts, hiking boots, and bermuda shorts with tonnes of pockets. Think palaeontologist, and you’re on the right track. When it comes to interiors, ‘khaki coded’ means bringing those rich earth tones, like khaki, camel, and sand, to your bedroom colour scheme. If Ross Geller were an aesthetic, this would be it.

Styling tips: To dig into this trend, we’d recommend layering lots of earthbound shades. See how we’ve used different shades of brown in the above image, with wooden flooring, a colour-blocked beige wall, and the dark brown Delaware bed. Tied together with the rust accents on the blanket and blinds, this room feels warm, cosy, and ready for adventure!

3. Vamp romantic

Dialling things up now, we have the ‘vamp romantic’ trend. We’ve seen darker bedroom colours making an appearance these last few months, but it seems that in 2026, we’re going even darker with vampire-inspired deep reds, purples, and even black! It’s a nod to the gothic, romanticising a smoky, after-dark ambience that feels rich and luxurious.

Styling tips: Keen to give your bedroom some bite? To recreate this look at home, drench your walls in a rich purple and stick to dark, complementary shades (like our Ballymena sofa bed here in coffee) to keep your space cohesive and cosy. To really lean into the vampire vibes, look to luxurious textures like velvet and faux fur, and add plenty of flickering candles to really set the mood. Think Halloween chic, but all-year-round!

4. Mystic outlands

The final colour forecast that we predict is going to soar in 2026 is called ‘mystic outlands.’ Celebrating whimsical untread lands, Pinterest describes this as “fairytale meets fever dream,” and we couldn’t be more obsessed. From enchanting dark green forests to misty woodlands that you’ll get lost in, this trend is all about bringing the magic of the outdoors in.

This instantly provides the backdrop for your mystical bedroom design, ready to inspire your next outdoor adventure. Style with pops of bright accent colours (try dusty pink or lilac), soft furnishings, and plenty of houseplants, like we’ve done here with our Louanna bed. Your dreamland awaits…

2026 bedroom style trends

1. FunHaus

Ready for The Greatest Show? The FunHaus aesthetic is all about big tops, big styles, and big personality – a.k.a., maximalism. If you’ve been itching for a major bedroom makeover and you’re not afraid of bright colours or bold decor, now’s your chance to lean into a playful, personality-filled, and – dare we say it – clownish design.

Styling tips: Our Sophie Conran Celeste bed in blush stripe is the perfect centrepiece for a dopamine-infused bedroom, with its curved silhouette and bold stripes. Experiment with other playful patterns and interesting shapes, such as a checkerboard rug or scalloped edging bedside table, to bring your bedroom circus to life. After all, it’s called FunHaus for a reason – you’re allowed to have some fun with it!

2. Neo deco

Return of Art Deco! This glamorous style is getting a modern makeover, as more and more people want to channel the retro aesthetic. In 2026, Pinterest predicts that our interiors will be taking on a ‘neo deco’ vibe; a shiny, sleek twist on the old classic. Expect the same iconic motifs, with just a few contemporary updates.

Styling tips: For this look, we’d suggest embracing dark colour palettes, such as plum, burgundy, and burnt orange, with metallic accents of brushed brass, copper, or gold. Patterns and textures play a big part, so ensure that you incorporate plenty of thick materials, geometric prints, and crisp chevrons in true Art Deco style. Bonus points if your bed is velvet, too.

3. Glamoratti

An evolution of the mob wife aesthetic, ‘Glamoratti’ is all about over-the-top, decadent style, with 80s luxury front and centre. In the fashion world, this means baggy suits, shoulder pads (gulp!), and chunky gold jewellery cuffs. In interior design, we can expect the same type of daring maximalism.

Styling tips: Keen to channel your inner diva? The best way to embrace the ‘Glamoratti’ spirit is with a large helping of maximalist decor. Enter: animal prints. A statement leopard print bed, like our TheraPur Ottoman Divan and matching headboard, is just the ticket for creating a dramatic, glamorous bedscape. Dress with equally loud colours and patterns, such as jewel-toned velvets and silks. Pile on the plush cushions, faux fur throws, and any oversized accessories that add to the drama. Oh, and a chandelier above the bed never hurt anyone…

2026 bedroom accessories trends

1. Poetcore

We don’t know if it’s the influx of recent literary adaptations (anyone else excited for Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights?) or the world’s obsession with showcasing our collective ‘bookshelf wealth,’ but reading is absolutely in for 2026. The ‘poetcore’ trend encompasses all of this and more. So, grab your best blazers and fountain pens, it’s time to take note on how to bring this to your interiors…

Styling tips: Do as the poets do and weave some scholarly style into your bedroom design. To get the academic look, layer rich tones like navy and burgundy, with elegant textures to create cosy corners that practically beg you to curl up with your latest novel. The best way to do this is with a snuggly sofa bed or armchair that you can throw a blanket over and sink into. Make sure to position this next to a well-stocked bookshelf for the perfect dark academia aesthetic.

2. Extra celestial

Finally, we have ‘extra celestial,’ which takes us even further into the future than 2026. We’re talking intergalactic silhouettes, aliencore makeup that shimmers like moon dust, and sleek, silver furniture for an interior that looks like it could transport you to an alternate dimension. And if it all feels a little too otherworldly? Just remember, “E.T., phone home…”

Styling tips: To create the out-of-this-world bedroom of your dreams, we’d recommend using a palette of metallics and iridescent finishes – silvers, icy blues (remember earlier?), and cool lilacs that shine under your bedside lamp glow. You could also consider futuristic furniture, like our silver Yokohama TV bed, and mirrored surfaces to amplify the sense of space (literally!). Remember, your sleep space is your own personal universe, so make sure it feels like yours.

So whether you’re looking to lean into your dramatic, diva side or drift off into a mystical fairyland, 2026’s bedroom design trends promise plenty of magic. Think of this as a treasure chest of design opportunities, from oversized statements to delicate details – all waiting to spark your imagination and transform your sleep space. Happy decorating, and may your bedroom be as dreamy as the year ahead!
