What are air beds used for?

Traditionally used for camping, an air bed has a range of features which mean they can be used in several situations. In the house, blow up beds make perfect guest beds and are great for small spaces as they don’t take up much room like a traditional mattress and can easily be tidied away after use. How difficult are air beds to set up?

Air beds are very easy to assemble and don’t take a lot of time to blow up. Most air beds now come with self-inflating pumps meaning there’s no major physicality or time involved with setup. Built-in air pumps inflate the air bed quickly, usually around only 160 seconds / just over 2-and-a-half minutes. Larger, more luxurious air beds may take longer, however, they never take more than 10 minutes. Other blow up beds can easily be inflated quickly with any standard foot or hand pump, so they're perfect for unexpected guests or camping. When finished, to deflate the air bed the screw can easily be removed, and it is ready to be easily stored away.

Are air beds comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep?

One of the key benefits of air beds is the adjustable tensions. Simply make the air bed firmer by inflating more. No matter who needs to use the air bed, they’ll be able to add air to the optimum tension for their preferences.

Another impressive feature of an air bed is the way it follows the curves of the body. An air bed provides support for the spine and doesn't force the body into an unnatural position, which cuts down on aches and pains when you wake up.
