What happens to my old bed and mattress?

First, we take apart your mattress. All the different materials are separated and compacted into large bales to help save space when we transport them to other recycling destinations.

  • Metal Springs: Sent to a metal recycling plant where they are melted down into new light iron products.
  • Polyester Padding: Used by the fibre blending industry and can be utilized in various products, including pet cushions.
  • Foam: Sent to waste-to-energy plants for energy generation or cleaned and used to make carpet underlay.
  • Mattress Covers: Turned into fuel as an alternative to fossil fuels, creating green energy and heat.

Zero landfill: We're committed to the environment and make sure that no part of your old bed or mattresses reaches a landfill.
