What is a mid sleeper bed?

A mid sleeper bed is a specific style of cabin bed that offers a range of space saving solutions, perfect for a kid’s bedroom. Usually featuring a small ladder for access, most mid sleeper beds are elevated approximately 40 - 50cm from the floor, leaving the space beneath ready for whatever you deem fit.

For rooms with a higher ceiling, you may want to consider a high sleeper bed, also known as a loft bed. Their sleeping areas are elevated approximately 70cm higher than a mid sleeper bed. What age is a mid sleeper bed suitable for?

Mid sleeper beds are usually suitable for children aged 6 and above and can even be a perfect bed for early teens. 6 to 9 years:

An important consideration when buying a mid sleeper is what mattress depth you need. The mattress must sit lower than the framing to prevent your child from rolling out.
