Youngsters love a bedtime story. Reading before bed can help them to relax and feel safe before drifting off into a peaceful slumber. It’s also a lovely way to practise invaluable bonding time between you and your child. Find out more about the importance of bedtime reading for children here. If you’re looking for new storybooks to read, our Bedtime Story Finder has plenty of popular reads.

For Tokyo 2020, as the Official Sleep Partner for Team GB and ParalympicsGB, Dreams created a series of inspiring bedtime story animations featuring some of their Dreams Team athlete ambassadors as charming illustrated characters. You might recognise Team GB’s Laura Kenny and Jade Jones, plus ParalympicsGB’s Ali Jawad and Jordanne Whiley. The read-along animations take you through their journeys from being determined children to becoming successful, professional athletes. What’s more inspiring than an Olympian or Paralympian?
