Apart from Christmas – which thankfully is over for almost another year! – there’s nothing your kids like better than to celebrate their birthday. With the promise of delicious cake, a few new toys and gadgets, plus a little bit of cash to spend at the shops, your little boy just can’t wait to mark off the passing of another year in his life. Here are our tips for getting his bedroom spruced up to celebrate your boy’s birthday!
Even when the door is closed, your child will want everyone to know just who the birthday boy in the house is. How about a sign for his bedroom door? Do some hunting online for a personalised door sign – they’re very popular as souvenirs from the seaside too, but with that added personal touch of something like “Birthday Boy’s Room – no girls allowed!” would really add something special. If time is of the essence and you’re feeling a bit crafty, you can always make the sign yourself; even get the special little man in to help you choose the colours he likes, what the sign should say and any other details.
A birthday banner on the bedroom wall would really make him feel special – seeing his name in lights (not real lights – although just imagine!) would be a nice touch. After all, a birthday comes but once a year!
A nice photo collage of all the birthday fun you’ve had with your family would look wonderful; find your favourite pictures from each birthday he’s celebrated and put them all together into one big picture!
And let’s not forget where the birthday boy sleeps – after all, another year older means he’s getting taller so why not think about investing in a new bed? Dreams offer a wide range of children’s beds; our section for boys combines all the comfort you’d expect from a Dreams bed with the fun and imagination that kids have – make birthday playtime fun and don’t forget the candles!
