Dreams create 500 dream jobs
 |
Leading bed specialist Dreams has announced plans to continue expanding its network of bed superstores in 2010, creating 500 jobs across the country in retail, distribution, the Dreams bed factory and its head office.
With over 220 stores nationwide and employing close to 2,000 people, the retailer has seen a positive year which has reinforced its position as one of the fastest growing retailers in the UK.
As well as a major jobs boost, it’s great news for shoppers too. New stores nationwide will bring the UK’s largest range of beds, bedding and bedroom furniture within easy reach from home, keeping drive times to a minimum. |
Additional HDDs will boost the delivery network, enabling Dreams to offer a wide range of options to suit the needs of its customers, from next day delivery right through to old bed recycling.
Built around the promise of giving customers a great night’s sleep, the company is helping to defy the doom and gloom in the retail sector. Nick Worthington, CEO of Dreams, said:
"Despite a tough economic climate for the retail sector, we have continued with our store expansion. Our aim to help everyone in Britain get a great night’s sleep isn’t just about offering the biggest range of beds, it’s about combining expert bed advice with a hassle-free service that’s easily accessible to everyone. That is why we are continuing to invest in bringing our stores closer to our customers. We all spend up to one third of our lives in bed, so it’s a very important purchase that requires a specialist retailer.”
