One Happy 6 Year Old

Lovely bed and plenty of storage not only at the front but also at the back! I paid for someone to put this bed together, the best thing I ever did as there are lots of bits and would of taken my husband a long time and think my ears would of hurt :-)
If you leave the piece of wood out of the middle where the chair goes upto you can get to the back of the bed where there is so much storage space as well as the front of the bed.
My little boy is so happy with his new bed.
Ladders came with slight rust on which got dealt with very quickly. I am very happy with this purchase

My son is very impressed!

The end result was worth the several hours it took to put the bed together. The bed's packaging was large and heavy and I found it easier to open some of the packs downstairs and carry the heavier contents up one-at-a-time. The instruction leaflet was good, but some of the drawings were slightly lacking in detail. As an earlier reviewer commented, the instructions do not make it clear which way to attach rails 40 and 41 to the wooden side rails - it only becomes apparent when attempting to attach the ladder. I would rate the build quality as very good rather than excellent - the panel alignment was a couple of mm out in places and the marks for screwing in the castors did not correspond with the holes on the castor baseplates. Saying that, the overall result was great - a bed with lots of storage space and a desk and, most importantly, a very happy boy!

Amazing quality bed!!!!

I brought this bed for my 8 year old son for his ninth birthday, he wanted a "Power Rangers Jungle Fury" theemed bedroom and finding a wallpaper border and curtainsnect wasn't hard but my son recons the best bits about his new room is the bed he says that he loves the new mattress to go with it, (mattress from purchased from dreams) and has plenty of room for storage, he loves the pull out desk and ladder, with the display shelfs near the ladder he puts his books and Power Ranger toys.

Hi bought this bed for my 6 year old son and I was able to put the majority of it together myself before calling on the hubby to hold together the big final pieces while I screwed them together.
Everything is labelled with numbers and letters and as long as you make sure you have all the pieces laid out initially it is an easy piece of flatpack that is fantastically solid in the end!

damaged hampshire midsleeper
-
we brought my little girl a hampshire midsleeper,it was delivered on time but when i opened the box to put it together it was damaged badly,so i called customers services and they replaced it very quickly, with another damaged one ,and again and again so finally we had had delivered 4 beds, only then was we told by the deliverary driver charlie (a really nice guy) that they can errect it for us .so i phoned david the store manager (castle lane bournemouth) who we brought the bed from and asked about it being put up for us as we know had been messed about so much, but was told that i should have asked for this service when i brought the bed and paid £45.00 for this service, even though i was never offered this and now it was to late to do.i was then told i would have to lump it and it was not his problem.so i phoned custmers services once again and they said sorry for all the hassel and would send someone round in the next fews days to put it up for us free of charge ,which was done .so thanks to you all at customer services for all your help, but avoid david at castle lane bournemouth because all he wants to do is sell you the bed and if theres a problems washes his hands of it.

Prepare to be amazed!!

I'm amazed with the standard of the bed frame, Easy to build & simple to understand insructions. I bought this bed for my 4 year old daughter & with help to build it with my husband. It took us 2 and a half hours as we were in a hurry to get to a restaurant (not the best arranging we've made). We are so pleased with the new bed and we hope it all goes well for us. We also brought a brand new foam matteres from dreams to go on top of the bed and now she loves it and when its sunny outside and all of the other children are playing, she's lying in her bed having a long mornings rest. We arranged the room as a fairytale room after having a new extension on the house, the bed really helped as it now looks like a princesses bedroom which is what every girl wants. Thank you Dreams and I will definately shop here again.

i was dreading putting this together
-
as i said in my title i was dreading this after reading other reviews but i can honestly say this is one of the easiest flat packs i have put together i know this sounds stupid but if you just keep to the instuctions it is so simple it took 2 of us 3 and a half hours that 2 where me a 38 years old woman and my mum aged 68 every thing was numbered and lettered even the fixings so dont be put off and do it yourself. the only thing i would say is make sure the delivery guys take it to the room as you pay for this and when i told them what room i wanted it in they looked at me as if i was from another planet and seemed surprised they had to do this

Got this for my almost 4 year old and it is just fantastic quality and perfect for storage!
I paid the extra to have some one build it - 2 hours for him - saved me many hours I'm sure! It is solid, and has so much to offer as she is growing up.
I got a foam matress to go on it, and I wish I could sleep in it!!
Well worth the money.

I got this bed for my 5 year old son and he loves it. I paid £299 and £25 to have the bed put together by the Dream guys from the Slough store.
Fantastic - loads of storage space within the bed frame and also LOADS of storage space behind the bed.
Well worth the money.

We got this bed in December, and we just love it. We paid an extra £45 to have it put together, and they did it in just over 1 hour (2 guys) The bed is very sterdy. High quality. Love all the sorage space. Looks very tidy. Our 4 1/2 year old girl absolutley loves it and tells everybody about it.
Feels like this will last us for years.

Good value for money

This bed has so many good things going for it,its very sturdy and theres loads storage behind the bed, only down side to it is even though i measured the bed before buying,it was still too big to go in my daughters bedroom the way i wanted it to go in{she has a very small bedroom}I would def recommend the £45 to put it together, the boys were here 3 hours, all in all its a very good bed,the desk my daughter loves in particular, ive left it out with her tv and playstation on,her friends all love her bed as well and the other bonus was that i did not have to buy a new mattress, its single size

Great bed - not easy to build!!
-
This is a fantastic bed, and my 6 year old loves it. Very sturdy. Lots of fun for him, with plenty of storage to keep mum and dad happy too! I would definitely recommend.
However, I should warn you of the following. This bed took me over 6 hours to build! I don't claim to be Nick Knowles or anything, but I'm quite handy when it comes to a flat pack, and our entire house is nearly top to bottom with Ikea furniture that I have built alone following the accompanying instructions (which I must admit are quite similar in style to the instructions that come with this bed). This bed is very time consuming though as there are so many smaller components (desk, chair, drawers, etc) that all need to be assembled separately prior to attaching them all together.
Also, I'm a 28 year old man (and quite strong I'd like to think), and there is no way on earth that you can build this bed alone. You NEED help, particularly towards the end of the build when you need to fix the main frame structure together. If there is somebody out who can build this bed entirely on their own, I will take you out and pay for your beer all night!! I'd like to know your secret!
I promise that I'm not trying to put anybody off. Its a great bed and we are all very pleased with it. Good product and value for money. Just be aware of how long it takes to build, and that a 2nd (or even 3rd) person is required to help. Looking back, I wish I'd done the same as my fellow reviewer and paid the extra charge for Dreams to assemble it for me.
Let me know how you get on!
Would have been 5 stars other than for the reasons above.

Hampshire Mid Sleeper
-
This bed seems to be very well made. The assembly instructions are a little complicated and it is best to allow a fair bit of time to do this. It also helps if you have plenty of space and a spare pair of hands for final assembly. Other than this a very nice bed which my son loves. I also had two damaged parts, however these were replaced on a next day delivery, and the customer service centre were excellent. This was some of the best customer service I have experienced.

This bed is wonderful!!

I brought this bed for my son when he was 4. Hes 6 and a half now, and loves it just as much as when he first got it. It has lots of storage space for books and toys, the desk is great for art and homework and he thinks the foldaway ladder is fab. The bed is very well made and sturdy, and with a quality mattress is very comfortable.
For me the best thing about this bed is the sturdy safety rails, which are around the sleeping area. My son has autism, and one of the ways hes affected is that he has no sense of where he is in relation to space, so without a bed rail would fall out of bed every night. When he moved from a starter bed this became an issue as single beds are much higher, and the bed guards to fit them are very 'medicalised'. My son is able to live a relatively normal life and goes to a mainstream school etc. This bed stopped him from having a disability aid in his bedroom. He and his friends think he has the coolest bed in England, and I can sleep well without having to listen out for things that go bump in the night!
My son thinks anyone who hasn't got a Dreams bed is deprived!!

Outstanding quality!

We ordered this bed for our 8 year old son after seeing it advertised on TV. To be honest, we weren't expecting much in the way of quality due to the price, but it is so much better than we ever expected.
It arrived in 4 large flat boxes, it's an idea to keep the contents separate when unpacking as there are so many pieces! It took us about 4 hours to build, (and we are by no means DIY experts!) with no hitches or problems.
We can honestly say that the quality of this bed is outstanding, the picture does not do it justice. The desk folds into the bed leaving a neat looking front. I would recommend to anyone!

Excellent bed - my daughter loves all the gadgets of fold away ladder, pull out desk etc. Very well designed and ideal for storing away things, although she likes to use under the bed as a secret den!
Took around an hour or so to assemble but her dad is a builder/carpenter so it would depend on the individual really.
Would recommend to all :)

The bed comes flatpacked in 4 huge & heavy boxes, so plenty of space needed.
The peices are numbered 1 to 39 i think, i found it useful to put them into numerical order.
All in all, it took my husband and i 5 hours to assemble but the end result is great.
The space under the bed behind the drawers and bookcase is ideal for storing toys etc.

We bought this bed for our 9 year old son. It is fantastically sturdy - ideal for a boistrous boy. The bed itself is very spacious and comfortable and the fact that there is a desk for drawing and homework is a definate bonus. There is also adequate storage for books and puzzles.
Word of warning - it took my poor husband an entire Saturday to build (that's why I'm only giving 4 stars). My son has had a similar bed in the past and it was not nearly as good quality.
